It would be two years later, in July 2013, when they’d welcome their first child, Prince George.
Photographer Millie Pilkington commented on the happy picture: “Happy wedding anniversary! Can’t believe it’s been 13 years. Remember this moment so well.
“Sending you both much love in this special day”.
Prince William and Kate are marking their 13th anniversary after a difficult start to the year.
Kate announced she had been diagnosed with cancer last month, after undergoing planned abdominal surgery in January. The mom-of-three explained in a tearful video test results had shown she has a type of cancer and was starting preventative treatment.
The Princess of Wales has not disclosed what form of the disease she has.
It came after months of speculation was building over her absence from official duties and avoiding the spotlight. The 42-year-old then shared a photo for UK Mother’s Day which ended up being Photoshopped, adding fuel to the fire.
King Charles is also fighting cancer, after going into surgery for an enlarged prostate, although Buckingham Palace was clear he does not have prostate cancer.
