Prince Harry has been dealt another blow as William has been gifted his old regiment by their father King Charles.
It comes after the Duke of Sussex announced he wouldn’t be seeing the monarch on his visit to the UK, due to the royal‘s ‘busy schedule’.
The 39-year-old is currently back on home soil to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which he founded. However, the dad-of-two announced via his spokesperson King Charles‘ packed diary meant the father and son won’t have time to see each other face-to-face, following a single fleeting visit after he announced he had been diagnosed with cancer.
Charles has made his eldest son Prince William, the heir to the throne, the colonel in chief of Prince Harry‘s old regiment.

From next week, the Prince of Wales, will become Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, which was Harry’s former regiment.
The confirmation ceremony will take place on Monday in front of an Apache.
It’s the second snub Harry, husband to Meghan Markle, has seen in this week, when the King reportedly told him he didn’t have time to see him.
Harry flew from California to London yesterday, May 7, however, despite speculation the pair will reunite as King Charles undergoes cancer treatment, the prince told the world they were not going to.
A spokesperson for Harry said: “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.
“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
The Duke is attending an Invictus Games discussion called ‘Realizing a Global Community’ before the 10th anniversary service at St Paul’s Cathedral.
A source told Page Six he invited his family to the service, but none are expected to show up.

Charles was seen hours before his plane landed, being driven from Windsor Castle before arriving at Clarence House.
The monarch resumed public duties last week, after months of taking a step back for his treatment.
The King initially went into hospital for surgery for an enlarged prostate when doctors discovered he had cancer. The palace has confirmed his type of the disease is not prostate cancer.
Meghan Markle, nor the two children she shares with Harry, Archie and Lilibet, traveled with the Duke on his trip back.
What was Prince Harry’s regiment – now it’s given to William?
Prince Harry’s old regiment, the Army Air corps, formed in 1957 take part in combat operations.
They offer support during conflict with aircraft like the Apache attack helicopter, observing enemies from above to pass onto troops down below.
The Duke of Sussex served for 10 years, including two tours of Afghanistan.
In 2007, he was in the country for 10 weeks as a forward air controller, against the Tailban.
Five years later, he retrained in the Army Air Corps to work as an Apache pilot, and returned as a co-pilot and gunner.
