Prince William has been accused of “trying to cover something up” following the blunder made by Kate Middleton’s edited photo last weekend.
The Prince has been accused of not being truthful with the public by TV star Piers Morgan, who is known to stir the pot when it comes to the royals.
Morgan famously walked off-air live after his negative remarks against Meghan Markle following her and Prince Harry‘s interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. He isn’t afraid to speak his mind, and on that occasion, the news show was inundated with complaints, including from the Duchess of Sussex herself.
Now, Morgan is discussing Kate Middleton’s absence on his YouTube channel.

The 42-year-old was last seen publicly on Christmas Day with other members of The Firm when they attended a church service. Kensington Palace then announced the mother-of-three would be undergoing planned abdominal surgery in January and would be recovering for three months.
They explained the Princess of Wales wouldn’t be returning to normal duties until after Easter.
Despite the information being released at the time, fans have lost their way with conspiracy theories on social media, in particular Twitter and TikTok.
Some baseless theories claimed she was preparing to head into Celebrity Big Brother – albeit jokingly – but it turned out Kate Middleton’s uncle did a stint on the reality show instead.
Then fans continued to ask why they hadn’t seen the princess in two months, with some experts saying the Wales’ felt ‘pressured’ into posting the first official photo of Kate on Mother’s Day last weekend.
However, hours later, the photo – which was also handed out to news agencies via the Palace – was given a ‘kill notice’ as they couldn’t confirm if it had been altered in any way. After photographers and editors scrutinized the photo, believing it was edited in several ways, Catherine apologized on social media and admitted she had doctored the image.

She wrote on Monday: Â “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. “I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C.”
But now Morgan has said the royal family has been handling the situation badly.
“Was it actually taken last week?” Morgan pondered over the picture. “They say so but can we believe that? If it was so awful [it needed editing] why not release one of the other photos from the archives they never released.”
He then asked: “Why is Princess Catherine, who is recovering from abdominal surgery, spending time hunched over Photoshop, making amateur edits of official portraits when they literally have servants to do that? Most baffling of all, why not edit in the missing wedding ring?”
But he didn’t pass the blame: “Kate needs a break, I agree, but it was their decision to release this photograph and it’s led to even more conspiracy theories.”
Later on, he said sources from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s camp claimed if he happened to the Sussexes “all hell would have broken lose”, which he agreed with.
“To which I say yes actually,” Morgan said, “If they have said that, it’s a perfectly valid point.”
