A 12-foot alligator made his way into a restricted Air Force base twice in two months.
The strong animal was first seen at the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa in April, when it stumbled upon the runway and took a pit-stop by the landing gear of a plane.
The Floridian reptile was removed from the site but returned last week outside the Med Group facility.
Officials worked to have the alligator permanently relocated to Gatorama and Crocodile Adventures in Palmdale, around 155 miles away.

Perhaps now, the gator won’t be making a return trip to make it a hat-trick.
The facility has named the 12-foot beast Major MacDill in honor of the base he obviously held so dear.
The Air Force Base shared a video of MacDill being released.
They wrote on social media: “Our 12 ft 3 in scaly friend was safely released at Gatorama and has already made some friends in his new home. They renamed him “MacDill” to pay homage to his origins.
“As a reminder: if there’s water, always assume there may be a gator there too. Keep yourself, your children, and your pets safe by keeping your distance. Gators can run quickly and have a nasty bite!”
After he was first found, they even bestowed the gator as ‘chomp’ of the week, taking over their usual title of Champ.
The Air Force Base updated his quickly-growing loyal fans on social media: “Alli Gator, the vigilant guardian of the flight line, demonstrated remarkable bravery and prowess defending our KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft from potential threats.
“With lightning-fast reflexes and a keen sense of danger, Alli thwarted trespassers and other wildlife alike, ensuring the safety and security of the aircraft. Alli’s unwavering diligence and dedication to duty earned them the admiration and respect of fellow defenders, and their courageous actions serve as a testament to their commitment to protecting the assets entrusted to their care.

“Alli Gator is now enjoying a well-deserved retirement from Security Forces in the Hillsborough River.”
When he wriggled his way onto the base for the second time, they reported the ‘airman returns to duty’.
Writing: “Airman Ally Gator has returned to duty this evening. Airman Gator will be in charge of MacDill’s complaint department and is ready to book your appointment below. Please list a date and time below that you would like to register your complaint.
“Just kidding, this big guy was spotted near the Med Group this evening.”
