The strange monoliths which appeared without reason are doing it again years later, this time, in a desert near Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced a monolith was seen near Gass Peak, north of the Las Vegas valley over the weekend.
The post from the force said: “We see a lot of weird things when people go hiking like not being prepared for the weather, not bringing enough water… but check this out!”
Back in 2020, the mysterious structures began popping up around the globe, without knowing when or who put them there.

The first, discovered on November 18, was seen near Moab, a rural part of Utah, and caused a stir in headlines. Then another was found in Romania less than two weeks later, followed by California days later.
Las Vegas saw it’s share in monolith mystery too, as one appeared in the middle of the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown.
23 erected monoliths were noted across the globe in three weeks, with someone listing each and every one that was spotted.
However, the craze didn’t last long, and it soon disappeared for another trend, likely from TikTok.
Well, it’s back.
There is no more information on who placed the monolith in the Las Vegas desert, or where it came from. The cops don’t know how long it’s been there, just that it was discovered by Las Vegas Search & Rescue.
Walking the desert can be treacherous, so it’s advised not to go looking for the structure unless you are an avid hiker and to bring adequate supplies with you on any trail walk.
Who knows, maybe we’ll see another in 10 days half way across the world?
