A woman in Maryland won big on the lottery ticket she bought from a vending machine – while she waited for her chicken meal.
The lucky winner, from Annapolis, won $229,680 from a Fast Play lottery ticket.
The woman, who chose to keep her identity a secret, said: “This is real!”
Instead, she decided to go by the name Faithful Grandmother, Maryland Lottery, have said.

She picked up her lottery tickets while waiting for her order of chicken at Maryland chain Royal Farms on April 22.
But Faithful didn’t realize she had won the huge amount until she was back at home.
Her daughter joined her when she went to collect her big check.
She said: “She called me and said, ‘I think I won the progressive jackpot. She was so calm.”
Her daughter went over to doublecheck the $10 Casino Royale Slots ticket and saw she did have the winning ticket.
But Faithful hasn’t planned what she’ll do with her quarter-of-a-million cash prize.
“I haven’t thought about it. I’m still in shock,” she said, “But I’m going to enjoy life. I’m just so happy and grateful.”
She said she will use her winnings to help out her grandchildren.
