Taylor Swift clapped back at a football fan who shouted at her when she was walking through the stadium to celebrate Travis Kelce’s latest win.
The Cruel Summer singer rushed onto the field to hug her new beau after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens, pushing them into the Super Bowl next month. Taylor Swift was walking out, hand-in-hand with new bestie Brittany Mahomes, when a crowd of fans were waiting to see her in person.
We can hear the 34-year-old in the clip say “I didn’t do anything” as she walks through the M&T Bank Stadium with Travis’ mom Donna Kelce following behind.
But one troll yells abuse at the songwriter, shouting: “Hey Taylor! You’re ruining football”.
Other loyal Swifties are standing by though, as they scream “I love you Taylor!” trying to shake off the haters. Despite the cruel comments, she still waved at the people waiting behind security with a big smile on her face.
Of course, she had a reason to be happy.
Taylor and Brittany were in the private booth watching both of their partners in the game. Both Travis and Patrick Mahomes will battle the San Francisco 49ers at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas on February 11.
After the game on Sunday, Taylor rushed to the field to support Travis and the pair embraced and kissed several times in front of the cameras. Fans were left in a meltdown on social media, declaring this was the ‘happiest’ they had seen the Grammy-award winner.
It’s the 12th game Taylor has attended to support her boyfriend, who she began dating in the summer. When she was first seen at Arrowhead Stadium back in September, the internet went into meltdown as it was only a couple of months since Travis called her out on social media.
He told his brother, Jason, also a football player, that he had attended one of her Eras Tours concerts and wanted to meet her backstage to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. Loyal fans make and swap the bracelets when they attend her gigs, so he wanted to stick to tradition.
But she reportedly denied the request as she has to recover after her long setlist and demanding tour dates.
Therefore, when fans saw her a few weeks later, they assumed it was their first date. But Taylor herself cleared the air at the end of last year, telling Time Magazine, they were actually already a couple before that debut. They had secretly been dating for some time, shortly after he mentioned her in his New Heights Podcast and they were official.
Ever since, they’ve been the hottest couple in Hollywood, with even a jewler offering to give Kelce a free $1 million engagement ring to seal the deal if the pair wanted to get engaged.
