Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick is engaged to his girlfriend Amy Jackson as the pair announce the happy news after two years of dating.
Forget Blair Waldorf, Chuck Bass has found his soulmate. Ed got down on one knee to his girlfriend, a fellow actress, during a romantic vacation in Switzerland. The pair were enjoying the slopes on a ski trip when Westwick decided to pop the question.
The 31-year-old model shared the joyous news on Instagram, sharing adorable snaps of the pair with followers.
On Monday, January 29, model Jackson captioned the post: “Hell YES,” with a ring emoji. She included photos of the moment itself where we see Ed on the ground holding out a black ring box as he gazes up at her. Amy, in disbelief, has her hands over her mouth in the sweet moment.
In the next photos, we see the pair hugging as they show off the ring, as they are both smiling from ear to ear.
On his Instagram Stories, Ed shared the post and wrote: “I hit the jackpot xxx”.
Fans were quick to jump on the Gossip Girl train, referencing his character in the hit drama series as they sent their well-wishes.
One wrote: “Spotted: Chuck Bass finally proposing to the love of his life. How will B react to this?!”
A second said: “Sorry?! No. I was not prepared for this when I opened my phone. Congrats you guys.”
And a third quipped: “Our Chuck Bass is now gonna be officially married,” while adding crying emojis.
Co-star Kelly Rutherford, who played Lily van der Woodson left two heart emojis.
The duo began dating in 2021, and made their relationship official online in June of the following year. Jackson, who has worked in Bollywood firms and as Imra Ardeen in Supergirl, met Ed at a race day at Silverstone.
Ed dished out how they met while talking to Hello! Magazine.
He said: “We were invited separately to a race day with Aston Martin at Silverstone racetrack in 2021. I was there with a friend who knew her.
āI saw her and thought, āIām going to make my move!ā We chatted for a bit, and I asked her if she wanted to meet me for a coffee.ā
He also previously teased he sees himself settling down with the star, including having children. Jackson shares Andreas, her four-year-old son with ex George Panayiotou.
It comes after the renovation of their dream home was finally completed in August 2023. Westick shared a series of clips from inside the space a few weeks ago of the full construction process. He declared no matter where he stayed in the past, “nothing felt like home,” but he’s finally found it.
