The infamous ‘Loch Ness Monster’ was allegedly seen lurking 600 miles away from home, off the coast of a seaside town.
A creature, which some believed was the ‘Loch Ness Monster’, was seen in Clevedon, Somerset, near Victorian Pier last February. The supposed ‘beast’ was several feet long and was seen swimming in the Bristol Channel in the UK.
One onlooker saw the opportunity to take a photo of what she believed was the ‘Loch Ness Monster’.
She said the ‘sea monster’ had many people flocking to take photos.
She told SomersetLive she was out walking with her daughter along the seafront at the time.
Mrs Purse said: “Myself and my six year-old daughter Grace were walking along the seafront on Sunday and were sitting on one of the benches before the pier. The shape was right next to the pier and I noticed it moving.
“It moved all the way along the sea in front of us whilst we were sat there. My daughter Grace said it looked like a sea monster. Just the shape of it reminded me of Nessie.”

The Loch Ness Monster, or Nessie, is a mythical creature in Scottish folklore, believed to be a large, long-necked creature with one or two humps that bob on top of the water when it peeks through.
There has not been any concrete evidence there has been or still is a sea creature lurking in Loch Ness in Scotland, but many people are convinced it exists.
It is widely believed to be a myth, with reports of something lurking in the water stretching back to ancient times – and it’d be hard for Nessie to survive that long.
Local stone carvings describe a mysterious beast with flippers, and the first written account of the Loch Ness Monster was recorded in the 7th century. It claimed a monster bit a swimmer who was enjoying a splash in Loch Ness, before preparing to attack another man when the writer intervened.
The legend around the sea serpent grew incredibly in 1933 when a road was built near it, offering a new view of the lake. One couple claimed they saw an enormous ‘dragon’ type of monster before it disappeared into the water.
