Bruce Willis’ wife has set the record straight after claims the famous actor has ‘no more joy’ amid his heartbreaking battle with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia.
Emma Heming Willis filmed an Instagram video hitting back at the harsh claims, which she says, came from a clickbait article.
The 68-year-old’s family announced the Hollywood star would be shunning the spotlight for his health 2022. He would no longer be making movies due to how the two conditions affected his health, speech and memory.
Emma said in the clip: “The headline basically says there is no more joy in my husband.
“Now, I can just tell you, that is far from the truth.”

The celebrity‘s wife added: “Stop scaring people to think that once they get a diagnosis of some kind of neurocognitive disease that, ‘That’s it. It’s over. Let’s pack it up. Nothing else to see here. We’re done.’ No, it’s the complete opposite of that.”
The 45-year-old, alongside her daughters she shares with Bruce, Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, nine, as well as ex-wife Demi Moore and their children, Rumer 35, Scout, 32 and Tallulah, 30, announced in February 2023 that the actor had been diagnosed with dementia. It came a year after they told the world he was fighting aphasia, which affects cognitive abilities.
“One hundred per cent, there is grief and sadness. There is all of that. But you start a new chapter and that chapter is filled,” Emma added. “It’s filled with love. It’s filled with connection. It’s filled with joy. It’s filled with happiness. That’s where we are.”
The family has been sharing updates with fans with photos, short clips and messages for the actor.
Two months after Bruce Willis’ dementia diagnosis was announced, he became a grandfather when his eldest, Rumer, welcomed her first baby, Louetta Isley Thomas.
