Drum & bass DJ Randall, referred to as the ‘godfather of breakbeat’ has died, with his death being confirmed by his representatives.
The music star rose to fame in the 1990s with other British DJs and musicians Fabio and Grooverider.
Unfortunately, no official cause of death for DJ Randall has been confirmed so far.
Real name Randall McNeil, he also appeared on Rave FM and Rinse FM.

DJ Randall established his own sound after first experiencing acid house at the Notting Hill carnival in 1987. He co-founded record label Mac2 Recordings nine years later with Cool Hand Flex.
The celebrity was a regular at The Blue Note Club and would rub shoulders with DJ Storm and Goldie.
Fans are devastated by his death, and have reached out on his social media to give their condolences.
Many have spoken about being able to see him perform and what that meant to him.

“RIP Randall You were such a big influence to me and my friends,” DJ Fresh penned. “And I was lucky to get to work with and hang out with you.
“You got a generation of kids into Drum & Bass when it was still called Jungle and you inspired the people that inspired me. Rest in peace my friend, you will live on in our hearts and our music.”
Another fan said: “Absolutely gutted. What an absolute legend this man was. RIP DJ”.
“A true master of the craft. In absolute shock writing this. Our heart aches with the whole scene and our deepest condolences to his family and friends. He was the DJs DJ, but also one of the most genuine people in the game.”

A third declared: “All my love goes out to his family and to the entire DNB scene around the world, we lost a part of our foundation today and I lost one of my best friends in the scene. I am heartbroken. Rest east king.”
“Such sad news,” added another. “Everyone who came up listening to Jungle/Drum N Bass knows how important this man’s influence was on the culture. Fly high legend.”
An Instagram fan penned on his recent post: “Seen and heard him play so many times. OG Junglist, went back well before my time right to the start. Luckily met the legend twice both times he was absolutely lovely to me. RIP mate”.
And another said: “So many memories hearing you play in the 1990’s as I was growing up.
You inspired generations. Thank you. We salute you King. Rest in Peace”.
