The awkward moment shows how a ‘prankster’ managed to crash the stage at the BAFTAs when Christopher Nolan and others who worked on Oppenheimer were giving their winning speeches.

The incident took place on Sunday evening at the British award show, and it occurred towards the end of the event. When Oppenheimer won Best Film, several cast and crew members walked up to the stage to accept.

Big names were on TV, including Cillian Murphy and Christopher Nolan, who directed the movie.

However, one straggler ran onstage after them and he didn’t belong there.

He kept his composure and carried on the facade as they gave their speeches, even though big Hollywood stars were standing next to him.

Although he didn’t make a scene, or say anything, reports say award show bosses are fuming he managed to get on stage.

TMZ reports he’s done this before, Lizwani, and documents crashing big moments like this on social media.

You can see in the clip that most of the crew and cast were already on stage, and beginning their speeches before Lizwani crept up. He then casually strolls up the steps with a hop in his step to not seem too late. But barely anyone looks at him that much.

But at one point he tries to stifle a smile, and spends a lot of time looking down at the ground, knowing he’s not meant to be up there.

BAFTA have now slammed the YouTuber and will not be speaking further on the matter in order to not give him any publicity.

“A social media prankster was removed by security last night after joining the winners of the final award on stage — we are taking this very seriously, and don’t wish to grant him any publicity by commenting further,” a BAFTA spokesperson told Variety.

Lizwani was then reportedly apprehended by security after leaving the stage, but it’s not clear how he gained access to the event.

Fans say he shared a screenshot of himself on stage on his Instagram Stories, and claimed he was apprehended by police after gate-crashing the stage.

“The police took bare of my footage. But I still have a lot left. I had to stand 10 toes,” he wrote.

In another story, he teases a full video of his prank, saying: “2nd TV appearance. Video out soon.”

The content creator has 8k followers on YouTube, but hasn’t posted his version of a clip yet.

He previously snuck into the BRIT Awards in 2022.
