Today’s Hoda Kotb has addressed the rumors over Kelly Rowland reportedly walking out over her dressing room.
Reports say the Destiny’s Child singer was set to guest host the fourth hour of Today alongside veteran Kotb last Thursday. However, she allegedly left the building unhappy with the dressing room she was given, complaining it wasn’t as big as Jennifer Lopez’s.
Rita Ora, who was a guest on Thursday, was tapped in to fill her spot last minute.
The dressing rooms at Today, at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, are known to be small because the building is located in Midtown Manhattan on a site constructed back in 1933.
Hoda spoke about the report on Tuesday’s show and appeared to confirm the story was true after vowing to ‘share’ her own dressing room the next time she’s there.
Hoda said: “I just want to say this. I have great love and admiration for Kelly Rowland. I adore her. And I want her to come back on the show… of course. She can share my dressing room. We will be in it together.”
“Anyway, I want to say we loved her on the show for many, many, years,” she added. “And on another note, we want to give a shout-out to Rita Ora, who did a phenomenal job. We have great women on this show.”
Kelly hasn’t addressed the drama, but she did show fans her latest dressing room as she got ready for the premiere of her Netflix film, Mea Culpa, directed by Tyler Perry.
