The 65-year-old pop icon shook off the blunder after she was dropped by one of her dancers.
Madonna was performing during her latest Celebration Tour gig, but the chair she was sitting in was dropped by one of her performers when she was singing Open Your Heart. The choreography for the song is inspired by the 1986 music video.
After singing a few bars of the song while seated in a wooden chair, a dancer began pulling the chair across the stage, but they lost their footing in their high heels and slipped. Both the dancer and Madonna fell and hit the floor.
Madonna took a leaf out of Taylor Swift’s book and proceeded to Shake It Off. She rolled onto her stomach, smiled and continued the song.
She then began laughing as she got on her feet and carried on with the choreography.
The clip was captured by fans and shared on social media.
Her Celebration Tour faced multiple delays after the singer’s health scare last summer.
The Vogue singer dealt with a serious bacterial infection and was sent to the intensive care unit.
Fans have commended the celebrity for pushing through the blunder on stage.
One wrote: “I was there, saw the whole thing, she was such a pro, continued to perform and laughed it off. Amazing show.”
A second said: “If this is the only thing that went wrong, in 60+ shows, she’s good!”
A third wrote: “She’s such a pro”.
