Mama June confronted her daughter Anna ‘Chickadee’ on who would receive custody of her children when she dies from cancer, on the family reality TV show.
Anna Cardwell, Mama June‘s daughter, passed away in December 2023 at the age of just 29, following a battle with adrenal cancer.
She left behind her two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kylee.
The family reality TV show, Mama June: Family Crisis was recorded before her death and it’s now being aired on WeTV.

In a sneak peak of tonight’s episode, the celebrity confronts Anna, about her preparing a legal document to determine who will become the guardian of her children, 11 and eight years old, for when she dies.
June tells her daughter: “I feel like the moment you take your last breath her dad, Michael, is going to be in the front yard, pulling her out of this house.
“Would that suck for everybody involved? It most certainly will, but then we also have the situation with Kaitlyn.”
The matriarch was referring to Kylee’s father as well as Kaitlyn’s dad, Eldridge, who June claims ‘hasn’t been in the picture’.
But Anna responds: “I want Kaitlyn to go to Eldridge,” which shocks her mom.
In a confessional, June adds: “I am surprised that she wants Eldridge on the paperwork.
“Kaitlyn will be better off with me, because there is stability. Eldridge has been in Kaitlyn’s life since she was around five years old. Honestly, she needs to put this s*** on paper.”
But Anna is certain Eldrige ‘can do it’, and says she’ll ‘push him’ until he ‘wants it so much that he can’t stand it’.

Mama June’s daughter kept her cancer secret for months
It comes after Mama June revealed the family kept Anna’s cancer diagnosis hidden from the public for months because she wasn’t ready for it to be in the public domain yet.
In March 2023, Anna announced she was battling the disease, but her mom has now said they waited to tell the world after they initially found out.
They kept under wraps for three months until the mom-of-two was ready, June told Mail Online.
However, some fans felt the family let Anna’s cancer play out on the TV show to help the reality show, which has upset June’s other daughters, Lauryn and Alana.

The 44-year-old mother said: “What was so crazy for us is when Anna passed away in December. I remember this vividly, for a long time people really thought that we was actually putting out false news.
“I was like, this is definitely not something to joke about. She passed away on our daughter’s birthday, 45 minutes before the clock turned 12.
“That is not something that we would even play with. A lot of you really think that it was all like put on for the cameras. Cancer is nothing to play about. Death is nothing to play about.”
June then called losing her daughter a ‘nightmare’ and she’s taking each day at a time.
