A GoFundMe page set up to help Donald Trump pay his civil fraud fine has already received $1 million in donations.

The fundraiser was created six days ago by a fan of the former President of the United States to help him pay the “unjust” $350m fine he was issued in a recent civil case.

The ruling found Donald Trump, his sons, and their Trump Organization associates and properties were liable for tens of millions of dollars. Trump, as well as his companies and trust, were ordered to pay more than $350m plus interest in the ruling, whereas his sons were ordered to pay around $4m roughly each.

The GoFundMe page was created by Elena Cardone, the wife of a wealthy private equity fund manager and real estate investor, named Grant Cardone. She set up the fundraiser shortly after the ruling on Friday and called it: “Stand with Trump; Fund the $355M Unjust Judgment.”

Ms Cardone wrote: “I stand unwaveringly with President Donald Trump in the face of what I see as unprecedented and unfair treatment by certain judicial elements in New York.

“The recent legal battles he faces are not just an attack on him, but an attack on the very ideals of fairness and due process that every American deserves.

“It’s a moment that calls into question the balance of justice and the application of law, disproportionately aimed at silencing a voice that has been at the forefront of advocating for American strength, prosperity, and security.”

More than 4,000 people have donated to the fundraiser, with top donations including anonymous cash deposits of $10,000, $5,000 and other amounts.

Mr Cardone promoted the fundraiser on X (Twitter) and explained “100% of funds will be forwarded to Trump Org for his defense of this ridiculous judgement.”

However, some donations were not in favor of the former President attempting to get back into the White House.

One person donated money for the sole purpose of leaving a comment.

It said: “I paid $5 for the privilege of saying that Donald Trump is a conman, a serial sexual abuser and an insurrectionist scumbag. All of you who seriously contribute money to this man are brainwashed cult members. Trump is a danger to democracy and this country.”

It comes after the Apprentice star launched a gold high-top sneaker line, with some of the shoes being priced at $399, and it sold out ‘within hours’.
