A clip of Taylor Swift appearing to mock ex-boyfriend Harry Styles with a British accent has resurfaced.
The songwriter used the accent to make a dig at their break-up when she opened the Grammy Awards in 2013. The now 34-year-old put on a fake accent in an ad-lib section while performing her song We Are Never Getting Back Together.
Swift opened up the star-studded event at the Staples Center, with her set inspired by Alice In Wonderland where she was seen wearing a top hat that was in true Mad Hatter style.
During the middle section of the hit song, she appeared to reference her break-up with former One Direction star Harry Styles. The pair had been dating for several months but it ended after a break in the Caribbean.
She said in a British accent: “So he calls me up and he’s like, ‘I still love you,”
“And I’m like, ‘I’m sorry. I’m busy opening up the Grammys, and we are never, ever getting back together. Like ever.'”
But it’s not the first time she’s done a British accent.
The singer also dabbled with the British twang when she was talking to Ed Sheeran about the meaning behind some of his lyrics. The two artists were discussing how Ed met a girl at Taylor’s house at one of her famous Fourth of July parties.
Swifties also praised the star for her great talent for the British accent when she appeared on the Graham Norton Show, alongside Eddie Redmayne.
Also, back in 2009, she also joked about how fans in the UK say her name differently.
