Taylor Swift carried off stage platform after mechanical glitch leaves her stuck

Taylor Swift didn’t seem fazed when she was stuck on a stage platform over the weekend at the Eras Tour.

The music star kept her composure when the platform on the stage stayed high in the air instead of moving down as it’s supposed to do.

Taylor Swift was performing at the sold-out show on Saturday night, at the Aviva Stadium, in Dublin, when it took place.

The 34-year-old was singing The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived track from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, when the plan backfired.

The stage lift wouldn’t lower down as part of the choreography, and Taylor Swift was stuck, so she kept on singing.

The celebrity knelt down on the platform so that one of her dancers could help her down, believed to be Jan.

The Grammy-award-winning star ‘reacted so fast’ to the blunder, says a fan at the Eras Tour.

It comes after Taylor Swift alerted security while singing on stage to fans who appeared to be struggling at the front of Friday night’s show.

While singing Lavender Haze, she said: “We need some help over here.

“I see that you’ve got it. Great. Everyone who works in this stadium is amazing”.

It’s not the first time she’s done, seemingly ready to stop whichever song she’s playing to ensure her fans in the crowd are looked after when they need help.

Her latest record, TTPD, has remained in the top spot of the Billboard 200 chart for 10 weeks in a row.

It means she’s one of the few artists that have managed this feat, alongside Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Morgan Wallen and The Beatles.

Taylor is also the only star with three albums to spend at least 10 weeks at the top spot this century, and the first women to get this nod since Adele released her album 21 in 2012.

If she managed another week, the Cruel Summer hitmaker will match 1999 and Fearless records, that enjoyed 11 weeks at number one.

After Dublin, she is heading back into Europe to play Amsterdam on July 4, for three shows.
