Donald Gorske, a 70-year-old retired prison officer, has eaten the most Big Macs ever, and it doesn’t look like anyone will come close to his record.
The McDonald’s fanatic has consumed a total of 34,128 Big Macs so far after eating his first one 52 years ago.
He has extended his world record for the most Big Mac burgers eaten in a lifetime, Guinness World Records said.
Gorske, from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, ate his first Big Mac on May 17, 1972, and hasn’t looked back since.

He has kept track of every single one he’s eaten and still keeps the containers and receipts – he must have quite the storage for them.
He said: “In that moment, I said: ‘I’m going to probably eat these for the rest of my life.’ I threw the cartons in the back seat and started counting them from day one.”
Gorske was given his title back in 1999 but had been in headlines before that for his years of eating the McDonald’s staple. He began his job at a maximum security prison in Wisconsin, and it wasn’t long before the inmates knew about his unique taste buds.
But his co-workers were supportive of his diet, sneaking in Big Macs if he was working double shifts.
When he first tasted the menu item, he would eat up to nine a day, but he’s cut back now. He tends to eat one for lunch and one for dinner.
Gorske would drive to McDonald’s every single day, but after retirement, he instead buys them twice a week in bulk. He’ll eat a fresh one inside the restaurant and take the rest home where he microwaves when he needs to.

He doesn’t eat much else as he skips breakfast but may treat himself to an ice cream, fruit bar, or potato chips in the evening if he’s feeling peckish.
Gorske used to love eating lobster but says he hasn’t tucked into one of them for 28 years.
The ex-prison officer admitted he did try a Burger King Whopper in 1984 but wasn’t a fan.
He admitted: “When I like something, I stick with it all the time”.
You’d think that much fast food would have an effect on his health, but he says he hasn’t had any issues.
He doesn’t eat french fries with his Big Macs and walks six miles every day, so it’s working for him it seems.
He’s a bit of a local celebrity in his closest McDonald’s, where they’ve hung a portrait of him on the wall. He even proposed to his wife, Mary, in the parking lot.
“People who have watched me eating a Big Mac often comment that I look like I’m eating one for the very first time,” he said.
“Many people thought I’d be dead by now but instead I’ve been a record holder for my 24th year – one of Guinness World Records’ longer-running record holders, so that’s pretty cool to me.”
