A Pizza Hut’s hilarious typo was a cut below the rest.
A restaurant from the chain went viral after an unfortunate typo was taped to its front door. The Pizza Hut, based in northern Ontario, accidentally printed out a sign explaining it was closed for their eat-in service, with a huge mistake.
Everyone has been subject to an autocorrect fail in some way, but this takes the slice.
Last week, the Pizza Hut in Timmins had to shut last minute so posted a note on the door, but it said it was closing for “unforeseen circumcisions”.
Photos of the blunder were shared online, including on Facebook and Twitter.
As you can imagine, people jumped on the bandwagon when it came to pun-filled reactions.
One person wrote: “No tip.”
A second said: “Well that’s a short note”.
And a third added: “I knew there was something off about the pepperoni”.
Even Star Trek icon George Takei had a chuckle.
Don’t worry, the restaurant also joined in and understood it was a genuine mistake. They posted an update where they offered a discount to their loyal customers.
They wrote: “In light of recent CIRCUMSTANCES, for a limited time when you buy one regular priced medium or large pizza, you can get the following for only $5.”
They listed the three pizzas up for grabs, including, Medium Meat Lovers, Medium Pepperoni Lovers and Medium Canadian.
They added “no tip” was required.
