Jennifer Aniston couldn’t be any more brutal towards David Schwimmer in their new Super Bowl advert.
The Friends star paired up with her former colleague for an Uber Eats commercial that will air during the upcoming football game. The ad was released today, Tuesday, February 6, days ahead of the Super Bowl this Sunday.
The commercial begins with Aniston on set before receiving an Uber Eats delivery – that didn’t have food in it.
“I didn’t know you could get all this stuff on Uber Eats,” the crew member says handing the Something About Molly star a bag with flowers in it.
The celebrity replies: “Well you know what they say, in order to remember something, you got to forget something else. Make a little room.”
Then we see David Schwimmer who played Aniston’s love interest Ross in the TV sitcom approach her. He attempts to hug her in their reunion but The Morning Show actress holds up her Uber Eats bag to stop him from doing so.
“Have we met?” she asks him.
She then asks him later on to “give me a hint” of how the two know each other.
David looks surprised as he says: “Worked together for 10 years?”
Then Aniston hilariously pretends to play it off, and claims she does know him, cleverly saying David was “great”.
David responds: “You still don’t know, do you?” and Aniston has to admit her fault, before declaring: “Like I’d forget 10 years of my life”.
The Ross actor appears disappointed as he sighs “I hate this town” before the Uber Eats tagline appears on the screen. It says: “Whatever you forget, remember Uber Eats gets anything”.
The Uber Eats Super Bowl commercial then shows famous faces of people forgetting things, like Victoria Beckham not remembering the band she was in that launched her to fame, the Spice Girls. They discuss potential names they think the music group was called, such as Pepper Ladies and Basil Babes.
Then Jelly Roll appears, looking in the mirror thinking someone ‘doodled’ on his face because he forgot all of his tattoos.
It comes after David and Victoria Beckham appeared in a teaser clip of the ad that was released earlier this week. It references the viral moment from their Netflix documentary where the singer claimed she came from a working-class family. David bursts in to correct the fashion designer to confess her dad had a “Rolls-Royce”.
In the teaser, Victoria wears a white t-shirt with the words “My dad has a Rolls-Royce” on it.
“So David and I are gonna be in a little commercial,” she says at the start of the Super Bowl commercial teaser. David then popped his head out from behind a door frame, exactly how he did in his docu-series. He tells his wife to “Be honest, be honest!”
“Okay. It’s a big commercial,” Victoria adds, as David asks her to “tell them what it’s during”.
She then answers: “David, I’m trying.” She then says it’s during “the big baseball game”.
“The super big baseball game,” David replies before his wife questions whether or not it was the “hockey bowl” instead.
“Oh, and tell them about Jessica Aniston,” he added. “Jessica Aniston is gonna be in it, too,” Victoria closed the teaser before David’s heard muttering: “We love Jessica.”
