Good Morning America

Don’t ignore Demi Moore when she’s on stage at the Cannes Film Festival, or you’ll be scolded like an audience member was last night.

The movie star, who has been in France promoting her horror film The Substance, wasn’t taking any prisoners when she was introducing Cher.

At the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala, Demi Moore was set with speaking at the Cannes Film Festival event before Cher, the guest of honor, arrived on stage.

The gala raises money for AIDS research and HIV prevention. Hollywood’s biggest stars attended and a cameo role in Emily in Paris brought in $270,000 at auction.

Demi said on stage: “I’m going to see if this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. I’m just making sure that you’re really, really with me. Because this incredible woman that I’m about to introduce – she’s a Grammy winner, an Oscar winner, an Emmy winner.”

The celebrity then looks around the room and notices an audience member who appears to cause a commotion, or not be giving their full attention.

Demi Moore asked the Cannes Films Festival-goer: “Are you an Emmy winner over there in the back of the room?

 “I f***ing don’t think so.”

She continued be calling Cher a ‘style icon‘, her ‘personal hair inspiration’ and called her the ‘most talented, successful, and best-loved performers of all time.’

Those in the audience applauded her scolding the person in the crowd.

The gala is marking it’s 30th anniversary, since Elizabeth Taylor instituted the event in 1993.

The AmfAR charity has raised almost $900m since 1985.

It comes after Moore’s horror film received a standing ovation at the festival which lasted 13 minutes after the world premiere on Sunday night.
