A security guard at Drake’s home was shot overnight days after his beef with Kendrick Lamar became tense over the weekend.

The guard was shot outside the home of the Canadian rapper, in Toronto, cops say.

Suspects in a vehicle shot the guard at the corner of the Park Lane Circle mansion at around 2am EDT before they fled the scene.

It’s not yet known if Drake was at home when the incident took place or whether the security guard or the celebrity was the target of the shooting.

Inspector Paul Krawczyk of the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force told reporters: “We are in contact with his team and they are cooperating”.

He added it’s too early in the investigation to talk about a motive behind the incident.

Cops are assessing video that captures the shooting but has not released information about the clip due to quality issues.

Drake’s security guard is currently in hospital, in serious condition.

Witnesses at the scene told local media the victim suffered several gunshot wounds, including one to the chest.

It comes days after the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar grew personal, with several diss tracks between the two music stars releasing over the weekend.

An aerial shot of Drake’s home was used as cover art for Lamar’s song, Not Like Us, the location of where the security guard was injured.

The property has been cordoned off as police investigate.
